Moorings Project

Bexley Moorings project has been supporting young people and families since 1981

Who Are We

Established in 1981, Bexley Moorings Project is a trusted and well-regarded charity at the heart of the Bexley community. For over four decades, we have been supporting vulnerable young people and families through a wide range of targeted services—made possible with the invaluable support of dedicated volunteers.

We are a registered charity committed to making a positive and lasting difference in the lives of those we work with. Our services are designed to meet the diverse and changing needs of young people and their families across the borough.

Our Support Includes

  • One-to-one befriending with trained adult volunteers, offering consistent emotional support and guidance.
  • Weekly group sessions that promote social connection, peer support, and personal development.
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) sessions tailored to young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, or other emotional challenges.
  • Parental support networks and training courses, empowering parents and carers with the tools and confidence to support their children and navigate family life.
